Here are some explanations about the construction of this web site. The publication section might be useful for researchers who are looking into an easy way to create web pages with their list of publications.
Main
Publications
- I used the publication engine from J!Research 1.2.2 which works decently. It includes import from bibtex and publication of bibtex reference. It allows for sorting the publications according to year, authors, etc.
- I have also installed the J!Research 1.2.x extension that supports the assignment of a publication to multiple research area. This adds a nice feature in the filtering option to quickly sort your publications according to different fields of research.
Search Engine Friendly URLs - SEF
- I used the sh404SEF Joomla! extension. It really increases search engine visibility!
- I also installed the J!Research 1.1 sh404SEF extension to allow for search engine friendly urls for my publications too. Apparently it works seemlessly with J!Research 1.2.x. The urls are built from the publication title. I experienced some problems with wrong redirections of the "More" links from the publication list to the details of publications, for example when two publications have the same title. I could correct it by tuning the redirection rules from the sh404SEF component, or by modifying slightly the publication title.
